This producer have been growing grapes in Chablis for generations, but it wasn’t until 1979 that they started bottling their own wine. There’s Chablis, and then theres wines that remind you why this French region has gained such huge international fame. Small production is a hallmark of producers here (or rather, a requirement), but this house is all about small volume, precisely made wines. Their Chablis appellation wine is made with minimal fuss - only 20% of the wine sees oak, so fruit-purity is at the fore. Fresh, crunchy, and vibrant are words that come to mind. The well-balanced palate is full of yellow nectarines, grapefruit pitch and melon. A touch of spice certainly makes things nice, but there’s plenty to love in every perfect element here.
