Geoff Merrill is one of McLaren Vale’s best and this is a wine that is made only in the best vintages, when after tasting the wines of the year, only the best barrels are chosen, to be aged in oak for an additional three years and then laid down to rest. Only a small amount of this wine was produced, and we are so lucky to be offering it to you today.
This shiraz is spicy and savoury, with amazing intensity of fruit and well integrated tannin and from years just resting in the bottle, getting silky and balanced. Time has also brought all those secondary characters into play, making for a wonderfully layered and deep wine. Awesome length. Very satisfying.
Rest assured, these wines have been tasted and re-corked in 2021, so are in stellar condition.
